2nd Sunday of Advent

     To think about....    

    The Bible is to us what the Star was to the wise men.  But if we just spend time looking at it and are not drawn closer to Jesus, then its use will be lost to us.

   10.30 am  Morning Service– worship is led by Peter.  Alan will be preaching in our Advent Bible teaching series ‘The Real Christmas Story’ on the topic ‘A real star appeared.’  The Bible reading is Matthew 2:1-6 

 You are invited to stay for tea, coffee and conversation

4 pm  Service of lessons and carols at the Baptist Church.  This is a different style of service which uses a collection of poems, bible readings and carols to re-tell the Christmas story in an interesting and often thought-provoking way.  Do come if you can – lifts can be available on request.


Tuesday 10th
9.30 am  Playmates, parent/carer and toddler group Christmas Party
2.30 pm  7Cs Club meets at the church. All welcome to join.

Wednesday 11th

        8 pm  M2 Group – meet at Joyce's home.

Thursday 12th

       10.30 am  OASIS - our popular weekly gathering for worship and prayer when we look forward to welcoming Alan. Followed by refreshments - close at 12.30 pm



Next Sunday 15th December

3rd Sunday of Advent

10.30 am  Morning Service– worship is led by BrianTim will be preaching in our Advent Bible teaching series ‘The Real Christmas Story’ on the topic ‘Real angels sang.’  The Bible reading is Luke 2:8-14

4 pm  Christmas Carols at The Whitstable School, an exciting opportunity to join with our friends at City Church Whitstable in their Carol Service.  Lifts can be available on request.

Monday 16th Delivering Christmas Cards to our local community. 

 Gather at church at 10.30 am to pray and distribute our specially produced ‘Christmas Card-style’ invitations.  Come to pray even if you’re not up to walking round the streets!  This is a lovely opportunity to seek a Christmas blessing for those who live and work around the church.
